Safe Weekends
Our Safe Weekends initiative provides youth with a secure, welcoming space to socialize, eat, and enjoy recreational activities in a fun, substance-free environment.
Operating Friday and Saturday nights, the program offers a positive alternative for adolescents who might otherwise face risky situations due to peer pressure, limited transportation, or a lack of safe places to gather.
🚐 Supervised & Supported
Each Safe Weekend is fully supervised by trusted adults who build relationships with the youth and remain present throughout the evening to ensure a supportive, structured atmosphere. We also provide free transportation, removing a key barrier for many participants.
💬 Making a Lasting Impact
By offering a safe, engaging alternative — complete with transportation and mentorship — we aim to:
-
Prevent risky behaviours before they escalate
-
Foster healthy peer connections
-
Provide positive role models and emotional support
-
Connect youth to long-term resources and opportunities
Our Safe Weekends program is more than just a night out — it’s a preventative, relationship-based intervention that encourages better decision-making, builds trust, and creates a sense of belonging for young people who need it most.
