Job Training & Placement

At The Generation Love Project, we provide first-time job training and real work experience to young people facing barriers to employment. Through our cafés, shaved ice stands, and lemonade booths, youth are introduced to meaningful part-time roles in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Our program goes beyond a job. We help each participant:
-
Create a professional resume
-
Build interview skills and confidence
-
Develop on-the-job experience under caring supervisors

While working, youth gain essential employment skills such as:
-
Teamwork and communication
-
Customer service and problem-solving
-
Cash handling and time management
-
Accountability, punctuality, and workplace responsibility

We understand that transportation can be a major barrier, so we offer transportation support to ensure every youth can access their shifts and training consistently.

🎓 Supporting Education First
We prioritize our youth’s education and future goals. Part-time hours are structured to support school attendance, and continued participation requires meeting specific school-related criteria. Our goal is to inspire young people to dream beyond high school and provide pathways that align with their long-term aspirations.

💼 A Foundation for Lifelong Success
Our supervisors are trained to work closely with youth, offering both on-the-job coaching and personal support. This creates a safe space for learning and builds the confidence needed for future success.
When participants are ready to move on, we assist them with:
-
References and letters of recommendation
-
Job searches and interview preparation
-
Goal setting for future employment or education
